According to a recent Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office crash report, a 48 year old male motorcyclist was killed on Tuesday January 31, 2017 after his 2010 Honda Fury collided with a Mercedes Benz in a motorcycle accident in West Delray Beach.
According to accident case investigators, the biker was traveling north on Jog Rd. and was coming up to the intersection at Oriole Boulevard when the Mercedes driver made a left turn from southbound Jog Rd. The motorcycle, a 2010 Honda Fury, crashed into the rear passenger door of the Mercedes Benz.
Unfortunately these types of car vs. motorcycle collisions happen far too frequently in Delray Beach and it’s especially tragic when a death results. As a matter of fact, the number of bikers in Florida who died from motorcycle accidents increased 18 percent statewide in 2011, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
